‘in all your ways submit to Him.’

Youth and children

Please give thanks for
  • the opportunity to have a youth minister and the deanery’s support of it.
  • the maturity of faith shown by some of our young people during the teaching they respond to.
  • the teams that support our work with children, youth and their families.

Please pray for
  • the practicalities that need to be fulfilled before we can advertise for the youth minister.
  • the funding that we will need to commit to be available or raised.
  • the advert to be drafted in such a way to attract the right people.
  • the right people to see the advert and apply.
  • the preparation of all the schools talks and services so that Jesus is honoured and proclaimed.
  • the preparations schools are already making for the Christmas services and for the opportunity we have to share the good news of Jesus.
  • the school assemblies at the three primary schools which will take place around Remembrance Sunday.
  • the wisdom to know how to meet the needs of the very different ages at junior church.
  • the wisdom to know how to meet the needs of the very different ages at Tuesday Bay Ignite.
  • the Baby and Toddler group as the leaders seek to develop what we are doing and help people to engage well.
  • the cubs and scouts to engage with Jesus as they attend Remembrance Sunday.
  • the guides and brownies to engage with Jesus as they attend Remembrance Sunday.
  • the cadets organisations to engage with Jesus as they attend Remembrance Sunday.
  • the junior church/Sunday school to have regular attendance with the children encouraging their parents to bring them every week.
  • the creche to continue to serve younger parents and the young children so that they can hear God speak.
  • more families to join with us and so get to know Jesus for themselves.

Please pray for anything else that the Lord lays on your heart.

Three things

Please give thanks for
  • the clarity of what we believe God is calling us to do.
  • the way God has blessed us over the last year.
  • the way that the leadership has sought God’s leading and had open ears to His guidance.
  • all who have volunteered to help with the new congregation.

Please pray for
  • the Christianity Explained courses that we plan to run in 2026, praying also for the two running at the moment.
  • God to continue to bring people to all our congregations.
  • the launch of the new congregation at the end of November.
  • Denise as she heads us this new ministry and as she with others work out the practical details needed to make this start well.
  • the publicity for the new service to reach the people we hope to attend.
  • the South room and Larder to continue to meet needs and point people to Jesus.
  • the small groups that we have to continue to be places of care, teaching, friendship and fun.
  • the schools ministry to continue to be blessed in 2026.
  • the care home ministry to continue and develop in 2026.
  • the Ashburnham week in 2026 to be blessed by God in many and various ways.
  • the prayer walking ministry to be much used by God to build his kingdom.
  • the monthly prayer gathering to be the heartbeat of the church.
  • all those who lead in our various ministries to be refreshed in their roles physically, emotionally and spiritually.
  • for the ability to identify the leaders that God is raising up so that the church can continue to do what He wants us to do.
  • for the PCC as, with other leaders, it considers the staff roles that we need to support our growing church family.
  • the various leadership groups we have including staff, PCC, Ministry Leadership Committee and clergy team that all will fulfil the part they have in leading our church family.
  • God to continue to keep us united as a church family under His leadership.

Please pray for anything else that the Lord lays on your heart.
