Easter
 
Please give thanks for

  • The glorious good news of Easter that we can share.
  • The opportunities that we have to share the good news with those around about us.
  • The joy that the Easter message brings to all who understand it.
 
Please pray for
  • The High Bay Assemblies which run from Monday to Friday next week. For Anthony as he speaks and that all adults and youngsters will listen.
  • The Hampton school services on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday next week. For Anthony as he leads. That we would make good links with the families, and some will join Bay Ignite.
  • The Herne Bay Infants service led by Denise on Wednesday week.
  • The Herne Bay Junior service next week with just the children.
  • God to continue to draw people to our church family over Easter.
  • That people would sign up for a post-Easter Christianity Explained group and come to faith through it.
  • The Easter men’s breakfast – that we have many visitors who will engage with the Easter message.
  • The Easter Care Home services led by Denise and the team to White Birch Lodge, and St Peter’s on Monday 14th April and Wednesday 16th.
  • For Denise and the team involved in these especially the conversations after the service.
  • The Maundy Thursday meal and breaking of bread with the new arrangements. For Kevin and the team as they cook.
  • For those who attend to meet with God as we start our Easter weekend celebrations.
  • The two services on Good Friday to enable us to wonder afresh at the depth of God’s love for us shown in Jesus’ sacrifice.
  • The Easter Sunday morning services and praise service to be full of joy and to have many visitors who want to return to and join our church family in the weeks that follow.
  • All those who will lead, speak, take part, host our Easter services.

Youth and Children’s Work
 
Please give thanks for
  • The successful start of our 11am Sunday children’s work.
  • The continued running of the Wednesday youth group.
  • The growth in numbers at our Tuesday Bay Ignite.
  • The weekly provision of a creche at 11am.
 
Please pray for
  • The Tuesday family Bay Ignite that those who don’t yet believe come to faith.
  • The Tuesday family Bay Ignite that those who do believe will be discipled, so their faith develops.
  • The provision of an extra lead cook for Tuesday Bay Ignite.
  • The mothering Sunday all age service this week to be well attended.
  • The need to add to the team to run a creche at all our 11am services led by Hazel.
  • The weekly Sunday 11am children’s provision especially those new to the team to settle into their roles and relate well to the young people.
  • Those who used to come to Check It Out to come to the 11am service.
  • The Wednesday young people who are investigating the Christian faith and who are asking good questions.
  • The plans to develop the youth work with the leadership of the church seeing if we should look to employ a trained youth worker and/or a youth ministry trainee.
  • The Baby and Toddlers group for the team and the conversations that happen every Wednesday to lead people to think about Jesus.
  • Wisdom for the shorter- and longer-term leadership of this group as we seek to see if it viable to continue running the group at this time.
  • The work that a number in our church family do taking Bibles into secondary schools and visiting school Christian Unions.
  • The work of Scripture Union supporting children’s and youth work.
  • The work of Mission Without Boarders particularly amongst children in Eastern Europe including Ukraine.
  • The school run in partnership with Church Army Africa.
