Specific prayer points Church Army Africa
-
Pray for Danson, the General Secretary of Church Army Africa, for his upcoming visit to the UK in July as he travels around meeting missionary partners; to the UK HQ in Sheffield and for his visit to us at CCSA. Pray that in his time with us, he will be able to meet as many of our church family as possible.
-
Pray for funding to develop the next stage of the water borehole project, to provide reliable running water in all areas of the HQ in Nairobi by replacing the old water pump and adding a battery storage system to the solar panels.
-
Pray for continued financial stability so that the medical centre can develop its range of services for the local community and to reflect God’s love to those who attend.
-
Pray for the staff who work in the Centre for Urban Mission, for protection when working in dangerous environments in the urban settlements. May God equip them with the skills to train local leaders to engage with local communities with the good news of Christ.
Specific prayer points Open Doors
-
Give thanks that Open Doors supports persecuted Christians in over 70 countries worldwide through donations and prayer support.
-
Pray that Open Doors have partners in all the countries they support so accurate information can get out so they get the vital aid they need eg Bibles, trauma counselling, relief aid etc
-
Pray for those who risk their lives smuggling Bibles into countries whose authorities are so against Jesus.
-
Pray today for Tuli who teaches at an Islamic school in Bangladesh where she faces hostility and pressure. “I want to show Christ through my character so that others may know Him,” she says. Ask God to fulfil her desires.
Specific prayer points The Bible Society
-
Please pray for the work of The Bible Society around the world as through translation and engagement they make the Bible accessible in people’s heart languages.
-
Please pray for their work at home where many people think the Bible is irrelevant to them. Pray for the many volunteers sent into primary schools to share Bible stories with a generation entirely unfamiliar to them.
-
Please pray for prisoners who are crying out for purpose, forgiveness and a fresh start. Through the work of the society, they are encountering Jesus, being transformed and being baptised.
-
The Bible Society engages with MPs all year and supports the annual National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast which takes place on July 7th from 7.45-9am. Please pray for the 650 MPs and church leaders meeting to pray for our parliament, government and politics as they reflect upon the relevance of the Christian faith to our public life.
Please pray for anything else that the Lord lays on your heart.
